We’d like to thank all our volunteers, staff and customers for supporting us over the years! Our Thrift Store had been in business for 35 years and many of our volunteers had been there for 10, 15, and even 20 years!
Over the years, there have been many changes and challenges in the economic climate. Today there is fierce competition from ecommerce, national chains, consignment stores, and the drastically reduced prices at retail stores as a result of their own struggles with online competition. It has become more difficult for small, non-profit shops to survive in this new economy and we were only one of several that have closed this year alone.
