Our thanks go to the Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation (IICF) Midwest Division for recently awarding Shelter a $20,000 grant for our Healthy Families program. Our thanks go to Zurich North America as well for nominating Shelter, Inc. as a grant recipient.
The IICF is a non-profit organization whose members represent all aspects of the insurance industry. Since 1994, they have contributed over $25.3 million dollars in local community grants, 218,000 hours of volunteer service and over 25,000 volunteers to benefit local communities.
Partnering with the IICF will strengthen our Healthy Families program as we continue to prevent child abuse and neglect through home visitations and education. The support of the IICF demonstrates how much can be accomplished when people join together for the common good of the communities in which we work and live.
